Happy New Year 2016!

Happy New Year 2016!

Hey everyone. Happy New Year 2016!

Man, did my year end with a bang — a 23 hour work day, then zombie-like mode for New Year’s Eve. ^_^;;; Ah, but I’ve got time to recover now, and I’ll celebrate the new year in my own special way. πŸ™‚ (And just maybe, I’ll find some time to do some catching up on blog related things.)

In the meantime, since I’d recently watched and loved the Carnival Phantasm series, I thought I’d share a lovely new year image of Arcueid (Tsukihime) and Saber (Fate/stay night and other Fate titles), who were the lead females in Carnival Phantasm.

Happy New Year 2016

Have fun everyone and be safe! Here’s to another year of good anime and manga. πŸ˜€

A felicitous celebration of the earth taking one more trip around the sun to you as well. (^_^)

My wish to you, and all the other nifty people who I think belong to roughly our same age group: May it stop seeming like the earth makes this trip faster every time around. (^_~)

And a vanilla overdose in celebration of the holidays…

      Ah, Rikka awesomeness. πŸ˜€ Thanks!

Gyah! Sorry about that… when I clicked on the link just now for a quick recharge, I saw a tiny thumbnail instead of the screenful of 7.3-dS* goodness I got when I was looking around previously. Trying again…

        * – dekashinobu, with the shinobu being the SI unit for adorableness.

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

          And Shinobu too.

          • arimareiji says:

Sorry for spamming you, but if that’s the case then here you go. I’d say it rates at least a dekashinobu. (^_~)

(The original image was just a weird toss-off joke about how SI units require an absolute standard under precise conditions, thus that specific image is the definition of precisely 1.000 shinobu. (๑‒́﹏‒̀๑) )

Makes me want to reread Love Hina again. ^_^

So you’ve discovered Tsukihime? (Making assumptions here; feel free to correct this wayward apostle) Well either way, Happy (Belated) New Years!

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

I’ve been aware of it for a while, but I’ve not watched the anime (folks told me it isn’t that good). I’ve not done the visual novel either. I’m kinda hoping ufotable can get their hands on it and do a proper adaptation.

I haven’t read the VN, but there’s a manga- Shingetsutan Tsukihime- that is pretty good, even by conventional manga standards. Combined with Carnival Phantasm, it gives a pretty good grasp of the Tsukihime universe… I think. Though it does have three X-rated scenes… but I’ll leave it up to you. I thought it was pretty good, like I said though.

I have started reading, mainly because I am so curious. I hear the folks at Type-Moon really like it.

Hey, Astro, Happy New Years! I’m just getting into Paradise Residence and plan to read all of your reviews after I get done with this issues. Can you tell me where the idea that the series takes place in the same world as AMG is from as I’d like to know.

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

I’m not sure. Until recently, there’d been no supernatural happenstances, and the one that happened is questionable on just how supernatural it was. But otherwise, there has been nothing to suggest the two series are in the same universe.

      • ether101 says:

Okay thanks, I saw that comment and was wondering if it was something being talked about in Japan.

PS~Why don’t you stop by the Goddess-Project from time to time and pay us all a visit or something?

Yeah, I need to do that. I rarely hit boards these days, but I should stop by.
